While The Tale of a Town has been our main focus for the past several years, FIXT POINT has created a number of theatre productions and audio-based projects with partner organizations, using our unique storygathering methodology to cover topics ranging from arts institutions, to historical events, and specific communities.

MEDALTA ON STRIKE
An immersive theatre production recounting the historic 1947 Medalta Strike, and presented by the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre in association with Medalta.

BATHURST STREET STORIES
A series of short animated documentaries exploring the personal histories of Jewish immigrants in Canada, produced in association with the Schwartz-Reisman Centre.

THE CYPRUS PROJECT 
A series of short audio documentaries, created in partnership with the Driftwood Theatre, that audience members could experience at listening stations, or online, at anytime before the play.

 

THE TALE OF A T-SHIRT
A FIXT POINT docu-comedy asking young people to question the true cost of our clothing, daring us to look beyond the familiar storefront windows.
 

THE TALE OF HARBOURFRONT CENTRE
An interactive audio installation at the Harbourfront Centre and a binaural audio play available to listeners online, to celebrate Harbourfront Centre’s 40th birthday.

STOR(Y)AGE
An interactive audio-performance created in collaboration with Suitcase in Point Theatre, and originally produced for Magnetic North Theatre Festival as part of Subdevision 2013.
 

 

THE FOUR CORNERS
A binaural site-specific recording, animated by a team of award-winning actors, alongside cameos from the Queen and Bathurst community, and commissioned by the Theatre Passe Muraille.
